Our team at Eighty2Degrees partnered with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) to design the 2024 Hunger Report. It responds to the dramatic rise in food insecurity across the Washington, DC area since 2020. We translated complex data on hunger and systemic inequity into a compelling, engaging digital experience. We aimed to invite readers to slow down and take in the weight of the findings. With a sophisticated, restrained visual approach, subtle animation, and intuitive functionality, we aimed to create a report that feels serious yet accessible. I led the hero concept, section dividers, and many of the conceptual infographics, helping to drive a narrative that informs, connects, and inspires action across the DMV and beyond.
