Illustration is a throughline in my practice, taking many different forms depending on the project. Sometimes it’s etched and detailed—like the star I created for Garrison Brothers in multiple iterations. Other times it’s whimsical and vector-based, such as two calendar designs for Planet Word. I’ve drawn isometric holiday scenes of the Capitol, bright brushwork posters for The Washington Chorus, and darker hand-inked illustrations that explore mood and light. For Capital Area Food Bank, I illustrated playful “kuai” meals bursting with personality, while other projects range from a 3D perspective environmental wall wrap and political collage, to letterpress and watercolor-ink event posters. My illustration practice also extends into tactile formats—vintage poster styles, sticker series, and social media animations for Tiff’s Treats. Together, these works reflect a wide range of techniques and tones, but they all share the same goal: to make ideas more vivid, human, and memorable.
